Wally, the CPVO mascot

Role: Designer & Animator | Institution: The CPVO

The Community Plant Variety Office (CPVO) is a European agency responsible for managing plant variety rights across the European Union. It plays a key role in protecting new plant varieties, supporting innovation in agriculture and horticulture, and ensuring a unified system of intellectual property rights for plant breeders.

I worked on an animated series created to communicate the role of the agency in protecting new plant varieties. My role focused on character design and animation, with characters developed in Illustrator as puppets for Character Animator, followed by editing of the full series. Backgrounds and initial drafts were generated using Adobe Firefly through iterative prompt development, and later refined in Illustrator to establish a consistent visual system across episodes.

The main challenge was adapting to the technical and creative demands of animation, which I approached as an opportunity to develop new skills and expand my practice.

Un dialogo sul femminismo

Role: Director & Video Editor | Institution: Libreria delle Donne

Libreria delle Donne in Milan is a cultural space founded in 1975, operating as a bookshop, collective, and meeting place for critical thought and practice. It promotes women’s writing and hosts discussions, events, and cultural activities that foster reflection on gender, culture, and society.

For this project, I led the full development of this short documentary, from conceptualization to execution, including interviews, shooting, directing, and editing. Developed as part of a project at Accademia di Brera (Milan), it was conceived as an introduction to documentary practice, focusing on members of Libreria delle Donne and their cultural impact within the community.

The main challenge was working with limited technical resources and a language barrier, I relied on natural lighting and prepared communication to ensure clarity during production. The film was awarded honours at the academy and presented at the Encuentro de Poesía y Literatura de Trieste in collaboration with the library.
